We hope you are doing well. Here are some updates for InIIC 2/2018 that will be held on 20 October 2018 at Resorts Worls, Langkawi.
1. Registration, Hall Layout/Floor Plan & Preparation
Upon your arrival, please register your group at the registration counter (ballroom, ground floor). The registration will start at 8 until 9.30am. We appreciate if you could register before the evaluation session starts as the jury may not wait and to avoid any delay in results' announcement. For Category B: Higher Institution Students, please bring a student's ID card (leader only) for a verification. Failure to proof the student status may result a category changes (to professional A1 or A2) and hence professional fee applied. You may collect a woven bag, participation certificates and payment receipt at the counter. Please refer the website for the ballroom layout/floor plan. Preparation a day/night before the event is not allowed. We provide the wire extensions but with a limited quantity. We suggest you bring your own extension just in case you need it during the event. Please back up the internet line with your own broadband/data. The WiFi speed may not satisfactory due to heavy usage.
2. Chapter in Book
One copy of a chapter in book is only given to those who submitted the essay. An extra copy can be purchased at RM48 (76 chapters, 300+ pages). Those who submitted the essay, please fill in the copyright form and return it before leaving. The list of the chapters is available on the website. If you have any queries regarding the list, please inform us no later than Tuesday (16 Oct 2018).
The payment was due on 15 September 2018. Please do the payment as soon as possible and email the payment slip if the payment has not yet been made. Payment at the registration counter is not allowed. Final date for the payment is Sept 17, 2018. Please disregards if you have consulted the extension with us.
There will be two juries for each team. The juries may come to your table separately during the presentation slots (please refer the tentative program on the website). The hotel provides one IBM table for two groups (size for one table is 1.5' x 5'). There is no board to stick any extra material (poster/award/cert/etc). You are allowed to bring your own board or any props as long as it doesn't bring disturbance (over space, smell, noise etc) to others. The bunting is compulsory, please bring your own stand. We suggest you bring X-stand bunting because it is cheaper, lightweight, easily portable and simple assembly. If you travel by aeroplane, please check with your airline before travelling. Many airlines now require that stand bunting be checked rather than brought as carry-on luggage.
5. InIIC Photo Contest (Facebook)
Join InIIC Series 2/2018 Photo Contest to get a chance to win 916 gold lockets during the event. 2 photos with the most likes will be announced as the winners during the closing ceremony. The contest closed at 3pm. Please see the poster and guideline on the website for more details.
6. Closing Ceremony
The winners (5 diamond trophies with cash, and plaques: gold, silver & bronze) are announced during the closing ceremony. The decisions of the juries are final and not revocable. Extra plaques are charged RM40 each (trophy RM75). You can buy the plaques at the registration counter. However, the quantity is limited and based on first come first serve. You also can order it by filling in an order form at the counter and pay RM10 for postage (Malaysia). The delivery may take up to one month, depending on the supplier. We do not courier plaque/certificate outside Malaysia.
You will get free participation certificates for all members. If there are 4 persons in a group, 4 certificates will be given without extra purchase! However, please confirm your names on the website. The names are based on the registration form you filled in at the early stage. Any correction must be emailed no later than TUESDAY (16 Oct 2018). Any requests to reprint the certificate due to errors after the deadline are charged RM10 each. The participation certificates will be given during your registration. For award certificate, one copy of the certificate will be given freely. The certificate can be collected after the event at the registration counter. You can get an extra certificate with RM10 per sheet.
8. Cleanliness & Safety
We appreciate if you can leave the table/space clean and tidy without leaving any unnecessary items. Please return the survey form at the counter. We do not encourage kids below 7 years old to enter the hall. This is to avoid any injury as the floor may equip with wire extension etc. Please take care of your safety and belonging, as you are responsible for your own safety. The terms and conditions (T&C) will be distributed during the event. Please sign and return the form to the registration counter.
